Every time you watch TV, or listen to the Radio, or read a newspaper, the same theme screams out at you, RANGERS IN CRISIS, well Celtic need to ignore those headlines and concentrate on our own club when we plan for next season.

Lenny has already spoken about a number of players leaving, and I think that number will be in double figures, the squad needs to be trimmed, if nothing else to save the wages of players who have little or no chance of playing in the first team.

But I hope we don't update our playing squad based on the assumption we will be playing against a weakened Rangers team, we need to be aiming at the highest level we could be playing at next season, and that is the Champions League.

We need to assume that we will qualify for the Champions League and set our stall out accordingly, I would think Lenny will be looking to bring in at least three quality players who can step into the first team right away, players who would be comfortable playing football at that level.

If Rangers go out of the SPL It will certainly be tricky balancing the books, but that the job of the Directors, and Peter Lawwell in particular. There is so much uncertainty surrounding the whole fiasco that it could drag on into the new season, we can't wait around to see what will happen, we need to act now.

I don't think we can afford to lose any more season ticket holders from Celtic Park, we may well lose up to half of the TV money, and the sponsorship money could also drop considerably. Peter Lawwell said “We don't need Rangers to survive”, and that's true, but only if the Celtic fans continue to support the team financially.

I was delighted with the way the team performed this season (2011/12) after a shaky start, we could have, and probably should have won the treble, but the most important target was to win back the League Title, that has been achieved, and with a bit of style too.

Now it's time to stand together once again, no matter what happens to Rangers, Celtic are still flourishing after 125 years, and that is down to the dedication of the Celtic support, let's continue that for another 125 years.

Hail, Hail, YNWA.

Much has been said and written about what could and should happen in the event of a Rangers Newco being allowed back into the SPL without the appropriate sanctions. Supporters of clubs up and down the country have made it clear that sporting integrity must take precedence over commercial interests.

We have canvassed our branches within the Celtic Supporters Association, and the vast majority have declared support for a selective bhoycott of those clubs who support the admission of a Newco.

In the event of that scenario coming to pass we would then look to consult with the other major supporters groups, and with those who have an influence within the Celtic support with a view to calling an open meeting of as many Celtic supporters as possible.

We fully understand the very difficult decision that has to be taken by some clubs regarding the potential loss of commercial revenue through the likes of live television and sponsorship deals, but that cannot be allowed to be more important than operating in a fair and just manner.

If the boot was on another foot, like that of Dundee Utd, or Kilmarnock, do these chairmen think that they would not be booted out without it being given a second thought? and that goes for all the gang of ten.

There is a long way to go until all the investigations are complete, I believe in the coming weeks stories will come out which will be even worse than is already out there, and it may well result in court proceeding taking place.

I would say to all the other supporters who are not members of the Celtic Supporters Association, give great thought and consideration to joining us in taking action in the event of a Newco being allowed back into the SPL.

There will be plenty of opportunities to voice your opinions in the coming weeks, please feel free to contact myself either through our web site, or directly.

Just by way of some additional information, I was looking at some of the figures for fans visiting Celtic Park, in the season just finished, if you don't count Rangers fans, a combined total of less than 4,000 supporters of other teams visited Celtic Park, on Sunday one of the Scottish Cup Finalists (Hearts) brought less than 100, and they say they don't need us, well let's just see.

It is interesting to see the reaction to talk of a selective bhoycott of away matches by Celtic supporters next season. As far as I can see there has been a boycott of Celtic Park by the majority of Scottish football supporters for years now.
Outside of Rangers the biggest travelling support to Celtic Park is probably Aberdeen, the rest you can talk about in hundreds, not thousands, I believe this season Dunfermline brought 79 supporter's to Celtic Park.
So we as Celtic supporters are asked to financially support teams who can't support themselves, at Tannadice on Sunday we had more supporters present than the home team, and that is the case at most grounds we visit in Scotland.
So while we continue to contribute over 30% of the income into Scottish football, the team on the other side of the city continues to dominate the Scottish football scene.
We are canvassing our branches just now to gauge their support for a selective bhoycott next season, the reaction up until now has been mostly in support of that option, but we have not contacted every branch as yet.
We will continue to monitor events in the meantime, and will liaise with the other supporters groups as well, it will be important to have unified response for any action deemed appropriate.
It's worth noting the actions of some of the officials supposedly involved in decision making, it appears that while they are happy to accept all the perks of office, some are not prepared to do their duty.
In the case of SFL President and SFA Board member Jim Ballantyne, who is chairman of Airdrie United, he has nailed his colours firmly to the mast by appearing in the directors box at a friendly match in Belfast arranged to raise funds for Rangers, apparently wearing a “Rangers Fighting Fund” badge.
Now let me say straight away Jim Ballantyne has every right to support who he likes, that's his privilege. But in his position with both the SFL and the SFA that would seem to compromise his impartiality to make decisions, I await his and their comments.
As for Neil Doncaster, I have said in the past that I thought he would be a good man for the job, I’m beginning to wonder now if that is the case, he seems to be getting the run-around from Duff & Phelps, and he also seems to be unsure of the actual rules governing Scottish Football.
Scottish Football is crying out for leadership, but no-one seems to want to take on the role. I think it might be the time for the supporters of Scottish football to make their opinions known, and demand that they are taken into consideration when decisions are made.

Our Guest of Honour this year was the very popular John Kennedy, and our Player of the Year was Charlie Mulgrew.
Neil Lennon was present with Gary Hooper, Anthony Stokes, Thomas Rogne, and young Dylan McGeouch. Peter Lawwell was joined by fellow directors Michael McDonald and Adrian Filby, as well as some of the other staff from Celtic Park.
The stars of the show was most definitely the world famous Thai Tims, Paul Lennon along with his wife Pun are the driving force and inspiration to these children, you can watch the video of Paul addressing the audience below. More video's to follow.

McCoist,Smith,Jardine and Rangers Supporters Groups have threatend the SPL clubs with the removal of the ticket money from Rangers Supporters attending away games at their grounds if they don't vote for Rangers to be allowed back into the SPL as a Newco.
These clubs are assuming that Celtic fans will accept this. The Celtic fans should issue a statement that they will boycott these clubs 'for ever' if they vote a Newco into the SPL without severe sanctions.
It is time for a representative of the Celtic fans to speak. If these clubs cannot live within their means then we should not prop. them up, they have done us no favours in the past. We need to take a stand. The withdrawl of the Celtic Supporters away support would have a similar effect to the withdrawl of the Rangers Supporters and we should make this clear. Ideally the SPL chairmen should be aware of this potenial action before the vote.
We should also not be blackmailed into accepting a Newco because we would be bored with winning the league easily, no one complained about this when Rangers were winning 9 in a row, let's go for 10 in a row.

So Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnson thinks that Rangers being kept in the SPL is more important than sporting integrity, well he better be prepared for doing without the Celtic support, because I'm certain the Celtic support will bhoycott Rugby Park next season.
Johnson has been the driving force behind the gang of ten’s new proposals for changing the rules in the SPL, I'm not surprised he backs a Rangers Newco getting an easy ride back into the SPL, and he won’t be alone, there will be a few chairmen thinking the same way.
I have written to Neil Doncaster regarding comments attributed to him, i have also made him aware that we would have a problem supporting a league that doesn’t uphold sporting integrity, i am almost certain that if a Rangers Newco is not treated appropriately, the Celtic support will take the appropriate action.

Glasgow’s Lord Provost Bob Winter hosted a Civic Reception in the City Chambers yesterday for the world famous Thai Tims from the Good Child Foundation in Thailand.
The kids have become an internet sensation by learning English in a unique way, they do it by singing Celtic songs in school, and I believe they are the only school in the world to use this system.
The kids received a wonderful reception form those present, and they burst into song when two of their heroes arrived, Emilio Izaguirre and Adam Mathews, they are truly inspiring young children, I’m sure they will have a wonderful time here in Scotland as part of the Great Celtic Family.
Please take the time to watch this video of the children performing yesterday. The children will also perform before the match against St Johnstone on Thursday night; I would encourage all those that can to come early, its planned for the kids to sing on the pitch at Celtic Park at about 7.10pm, it’s an amazing experience, one you won’t want to miss.

The only way to punish Rangers for breaking the rules in Scottish Football, in a manner which they would find acceptable, would be to let Ally Mc Coist, Walter Smith, and Sandy Jardine determine the punishment themselves.
I find it ludicrous that people are making very strong comments and holding demonstrations before they actually know the rationale behind the decisions taken by the Judicial Panel, and there was nothing more farcical than Mc Coist demanding to know the names of those panel members, Ally at his devious best, or should that be worst?
I watched the full interview of him talking about people kicking them when they are down, and people putting the final nail in their coffin, let me remind Ally of his comments in 1994 regarding Celtic’s then financial difficulties … “That’s their problem, although I cannot say I’m not enjoying what’s happening to them”.
As for them claiming that all their ills are down to Craig Whyte, I don’t think 140 million pounds of debt came in the last year, although in that year they have paid no-one, including a girl they owe £40 to for face painting.
There is still more to come from this saga, the EBT’s have still to be ruled on, as has the big tax case, I think the majority of fans in Scotland are now pretty fed up with it and wish it was over one way or another.
The independent survey which was held by two Hibs fans showed that 95% of supporters in Scotland didn’t want a Newco admitted straight back into the SPL, I’m not sure their Chairmen and CEO’s will agree with that, and I’m not sure that is the way they will vote on Monday.
Finally, and this is not a Party Political Broadcast, there is a young man standing as an Independent Candidate in the local elections, his is a single issue candidate against the Offensive behaviour at Football Bill, if you are interested in his opinion follow the link below.

Now that we have the chance to assess our squad ahead of next season's campaign, it surely wouldn't do any harm to bring O'Dea back into the picture, now he's returned from Leeds. Given that he played 38 games for them this season in a very competitive league and the fact that he won things with us previously, maybe he's worthy of another chance. Let's suppose he plays in most if not all remaining games and shows up well. Then perhaps he's worthy of a new contract. I've always personally liked him and, hey, look what Charlie Mulgrew has proved about returning players.

At a loss though about Juarez. He cost a fair amount. Is he really a flop or again could we give him one last chance, or at least put him in the shop window and get some return on our investment in the transfer market?
