There are many different prices for season tickets at Celtic Park, from ordinary books to child and pensioners, but one group of fans who have not been catered for are the less well off, and by that I mean the unemployed and long term sick.[/SIZE:9d808f4d]

Many years ago at the old Celtic park there was what was known as the UB40 gate, where anyone who was unfortunate enough to be unemployed, (and under the Tory Government, there were a considerable number) could gain entry at a reduced cost by showing their UB40 card, or in other words their Broo Cerd.[/SIZE:9d808f4d]

Really good point.

Do the supporters in wheelchairs pay the full price?

Great idea I've been on long term sick for 16 years due to heart problems, a reduction would enable me to get a season book

Bang on Joe!
How can you call yourself a supporter when you're actually stealing from the club?

There are places for wheel chairs and it is at little or no cost, but the places are very limited, it is the same with blind supporters. We need to look at maximising the places available where reasonably practicable. hope to get back to you on thiis subject.

Joe thanks for bringin up that point with peter,I never gave it much thought till i got made redundant 3 weeks ago after 27yrs as a forklift
truck driver, as u can appreciate £470 pounds is a lot to pay out when u have mortgages to pay out and other overheads.

Harry
I know where your coming from, i had a massive heart attack in February 2001 and i've had two knee re-placements done in the last five years, so i have been off work for six years now, and my ticket is £570, i moved to the main stand after the heart attack because of the stairs.
Are you in a club Harry? i wonder if they could help, or taking it out over the ten payments deal. Keep me up-dated on how your doing.

Great idea, but very hard to administrate.Perhaps the club could initiate a job club type of thing, where they would be paid by government agencies, and the unemployed fans could register there.
