There are some changes to the format of the Convention in Santa Ponsa, Majorca. These changes are the result of contractual problems for the promotional company Globo Balear.

The Celtic village will now be situated in the giant Plaza Los Jardenes (Spanish Square) next to the Celts Well’s Pub; in fact I think there are about eight pubs in close proximity. There will be entertainment in the Plaza during the day and at night, a live open-air concert with bands playing Celtic/Irish music on May 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, and lots of souvenir outlets as well. Lisbon Lion, Bertie Auld will be in attendance. The Gala Night will now be held on Sunday May 23rd at the venue of the Pirates show. As well as the Pirates Show; there will be a meal served (chicken & chips). The finale to the night will be an appearance of the world’s best Irish Band, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolftones; the cost of the tickets is 30 Euros and can be ordered by contacting the Association Social Convener Jim Forrest at [EMAIL="jimforrestcsa@yahoo.co.uk"]jimforrestcsa@yahoo.co.uk[/EMAIL:39f09b00] or Vice President John Andrews at [EMAIL="john.andrews5200@talktalk.net"]john.andrews5200@talktalk.net[/EMAIL:39f09b00]
